Bigfoot burglar: Size 16 shoes help lead to Wash. man's arrest

MONROE, Wash. (AP) — Monroe police say a man's big feet helped lead to his arrest in a burglary investigation. The Daily Herald of Everett reports that officers responded to the burglary on Thursday morning and saw huge footprints in the frozen grass. They immediately thought of a man who'd been arrested in a car theft case just two days before: the 6-foot-9,
230-pound, size-16-shoed Ben Pickrell.

They say they drove around the area and saw Pickrell. He had a lot of Canadian coins in his pocket — which the homeowner reported had been stolen from his vehicle.

Pickrell was booked into Snohomish County Jail for investigation of first-degree burglary.

He's also is being held for investigation of possessing meth, possessing stolen property and vehicle theft. Bail was set Friday at a combined $125,000.
