Is Chuck Prahl getting the hoax bug?

It must be hard for Chuck Prahl to remain on the sidelines and not be a major player in the sport of Bigfoot. He does a good job at what he does (re-posting and taking safe positions on topics). His blog BigfootBuzz.net is taking off. Good for him. However, most people at some point want to be 'in on the action.' If I may.
Prahl, the other night, on his radio show stated he got a phone call from someone in California who had clear, high rez, trail cam images. He said he wanted to believe this guy but his hopes have been dashed many times. How about - all the time!
Most of Bigfoot is junk. In fact, most of Bigfoot is anecdotal in nature (something Chuck pays much attention to. He even lets those folks pass). When someone actually attempts to present photos or video, Chuck can get very mean with those people. I have always wondered why.
Now, Chuck has entered into stage one of the hoaxer protocol - The Grand Announcement! How cool. He even gets mentioned now a few places on the web and he's hot for the day. However, we all know the hoodwinked defense will come down the pike after he blast the critics (Me) for wanting to see something. And that's the problem.
When you are a YouTube guy (I was on the ground floor of that phenomena), you take great risk in presenting your stuff. It is easier to live in the shadows never enjoying much and suffering little. The grey twilight is not for those who want to experience victory or defeat.
